Who is LEA?

Learning Environments Australasia (LEA) is a not-for-profit association dedicated to improving learning environments across Australasia, New Zealand, South East Asia, and India. With a diverse membership of over 950 professionals from fields like architecture, education, and design, LEA promotes innovative educational spaces through conferences, research, and awards. Embracing principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), LEA fosters collaborative efforts to design impactful educational facilities and supports professional growth through events and initiatives.

What is the LEA 2026 UNLEASH Perth about?

UNLEASH 2026: The 24th Annual Learning Environments Australasia Conference will take place in Perth from May 13–15, 2026. We invite participants to explore bold ideas and innovative practices shaping the future of education. The conference will spotlight how learning spaces can unlock creativity, equity, and resilience, while addressing the challenges of sustainability, community needs, and rapid technological change. Through keynotes, immersive workshops, and hands-on site tours, delegates will gain insights into cutting-edge design, collaborative solutions, and transformative environments that empower learners.

Who should attend the conference?

This event is ideal for architects, designers, educators, facility consultants, and managers. Also relevant to school principals, teachers, curriculum developers, and educational administrators. Professionals from government, Catholic, and independent school systems are encouraged to attend.

Can I get CPD Points for attending the conference?
  • Yes! All Australian and New Zealand Architects can obtain CPD Points.
  • NZ Delegates – please visit the LEA desk to sign the CPD attendance form.
  • Australian Delegates – click on the CPD icon in the conference app or visit the LEA website.
  • CPD Certificates will be issued via email by Friday 29 May 2026 and available in your LEA Member Portal profile.
How can I register for the event?

To register, click here and follow the steps on the registration page. Early bird discounts may apply.

Am I able to share registration with my colleague?

Yes, you can share your registration with a colleague, provided each attends on different days. A maximum of two people can share one registration. Please inform the Bumper Conference Management team so name badges can be prepared.

I have a dietary requirement, where will my catering be?
  • If you have notified us, visit the special dietary table at the venue.
  • If not, visit the Registration Desk to notify staff. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests.
What is the cancellation policy?
  • Cancellation requests received on or before 60 days prior to the commencement of the Conference will be refunded the Registration fee in full, less $100.00.
  • Cancellation requests received between 60 days and 45 days prior to the commencement of the Conference will be refunded the Registration fee in full, less $250.00.
  • Attendees are not entitled to a refund of the Registration fee if the cancellation is received within 45 days of the commencement of the Conference.

What do I visit the Registration Desk for and what do I visit the LEA Desk for?
  • The Registration Desk handles badges, tours info, workshop/speaker questions, conference payments, welcome reception tickets, app, and program details.
  • The LEA Desk is where the LEA team are located; NZ delegates can sign CPD forms, purchase the awards book, pick up bundles, or ask about LEA membership.
Where do I purchase, or collect my complimentary copy of the Awards book?

The Contemporary Learning Spaces book, fondly called the ‘awards book,’ can be collected from the LEA desk located in the foyer at the conference. The LEA desk will be staffed during the same hours as the conference registration desk.

The LEA desk will close at the conclusion of the afternoon tea service on Thursday 14 May at PCEC. Please ensure you collect your books prior to this time.

If you would like to collect your book on Friday 15 May, please make prior arrangements by visiting the LEA desk to arrange for the book to be transported to the Zoo.

If pre-arrangements have not been made with the LEA team, you may not be able to collect or purchase the book, and it will need to be posted to you ($15 postage rate will apply).

I entered or was a judge in the 2026 LEAD Awards, where do I collect my complimentary book from?

Your awards book can be collected from the LEA desk located in the foyer of the conference.

The LEA desk will close at the conclusion of the afternoon tea service on Thursday 14 May at PCEC. Please ensure you collect your books prior to this time.

Can I collect my book on Friday 15 May?

If you would like to collect your book on Friday, please make prior arrangements by visiting the LEA desk located in the foyer at the conference to arrange for the book to be transported to the Zoo.

If pre-arrangements have not been made with the LEA team, you may not be able to collect or purchase the book, and it will need to be posted to you ($15 postage rate will apply).

Program

The program on the website has a total of 8 groups, how does this work?
  • Delegates will experience a blend of keynotes and workshops at PCEC, plus learning tours.
  • On Friday 15 May, delegates attend Perth Zoo, commencing with the breakfast at 8am.
Can I change my learning tours. How can I do this?
Prior to the conference, email info@bumpermgmt.com.au or visit the Registration desk. All tours are subject to availability.
Do I need a Working with Children/Working with Vulnerable People card?
Not required, but encouraged to have a copy with you.
Do I need PPE or special footwear for learning tours?
PPE requirements are noted on tour descriptions. Wear appropriate clothing and enclosed shoes.
Do I need to bring my own catering when on learning tours?
Catering is included. Any special instructions will be communicated via announcements on the conference app. We recommend to bring a water bottle and hat.
