Kurrajong is the new centre for senior learning at the Springfield Anglican College secondary campus, located 30km south-west of Brisbane in Springfield.

The centre is dedicated to the education of years 11 and 12 aimed at assisting with the transition from school to university. Both formal and informal learning are supported with a range of flexible spaces. Access to student kitchen facilities encourage autonomy and independence.

The various covered outdoor spaces on the edge of the building support the health and wellness of students by allowing natural light and providing views to the surrounding bushland.

The Junior High Precinct at St Peters Lutheran College Springfield embodies the College’s evolution into a thriving institution, blending innovation with its core values of communi-ty, care, and respect. Inspired by symbols of connection like the Cross, concentric circles and nautilus shell, the design creates a dynamic "meeting place" that fosters belonging and learning as a journey. Flexible, multi-functional spaces support autonomy in educa-tion and agility in pastoral care, and community engagement. More than a building, the precinct is a hub for students, families, and the wider community, with grand views across one of Queensland fastest growing communities; reflecting the College’s con-nected and aspiring culture; paving the way for continuous growth, innovation, and a brighter future for its students.
