Student Group C- Barwon

To provide a slice of authentic student voice, students from the south west region’s specialist schools have been invited to speak at the conference.  They will talk about their experiences at school, their hopes for the future and the impact of voice and agency in their own learning journeys

3 Cluster groups from SWV Schools will spend Term 1 developing student voice projects about their area, interests and learning needs. They will meet up via skype, email or school visits to meet each other, discuss and share ideas and plan their projects.

During Term 2 the groups will prepare their presentations for conference. Their work will culminate in their participation in a 2-night Student Camp at Lorne where they will celebrate the work they have completed and present their workshop session at the Conference.

This is the first time we have included representatives from our student cohort to join us at the conference.   We are excited to share this innovative project with conference participants and look forward to hearing the voice of students with diverse abilities from the SWV area.
