What are Threads?

Instead of workshops, Threads are 3 concurrent and interactive sessions on Tuesday 29 May from 10.45 - 12.00

Selection: Conference participants select one of the three options based around the conference themes - Reflection, Relevance and Revolution

Format:

Each will be different, but there are consistent elements and these are expert input, stories from real situations and opportunities for the audience to be involved. We want this style of presentation to to significantly shift the conference style away from a chalk-and-talk approach

The formats are being developed around the following ideas:

·        Reflection:ABC Q&A type format with the expert panel reflecting a variety of voices in the dialogue around learning, education, schools and change. In essence it will reflect on what has happened in the past, tried and tested approaches and are we now throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

·        Relevance:Using the SBS Insight format of a guided dialogue around what is relevant today. This will be particularly focused on evidence-based research in the area of Innovative Learning Environments - design, teacher change, leadership required

·
Revolution - Building a scenario in the flavour of Hypothetical. How are global trends disrupting how we work and learn. How might these impact decision-making. We now need to make big shifts and create a learning revolution.

The threads will be hosted and curated. They will build in involvement from the audience.
