The state-of-the-art facility enables staff to deliver a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate, evidence-based K-12 wellbeing curriculum that integrates wellbeing within teacher methods and practise. The building is designed to reflect the multifaceted nature of wellbeing, with flexible internal spaces including a resource library, contemporary fitness areas, recharge, expressive arts, meditation and workshop rooms, food room, healthy café and rooftop garden.

IONA PRESENTATION COLLEGE JUNIOR SCHOOL

Iona Presentation College Junior School was a campus divided in two.  Teaching spaces where separated from external spaces by a large retaining wall, fencing and a long ramp. The project brief was to bridge this divide, create external teaching spaces and breakout opportunities and utilise the topography of the site to create a play space.

The new 2500sqm landscape celebrates the level change and enables students to transition the space in multiple ways.  Natural stone slab steppers, polished concrete slides, concrete soak well steppers, timber logs and timber forts all form part of the play space which provides opportunities for children to climb, balance and hang, clear requirements for their development from the school and project briefing.
