Old data, new data: Making sense of it all
Tan-Chyuan Chin,Dr (PhD), The University of Melbourne
Well-being and performance data are collected from staff and students for a broad range of reasons, such as needs analyses, benchmarking, tracking and evaluation. New and emerging developments in measurement are facilitating our capacities to capture more nuanced experiences of well-being in our everyday lives. This interactive workshop will firstly provide participants with the opportunity to understand the principles and methods to explore or examine different types of data. Different examples will also be provided to enable participants to apply data merging methods in their school or campus contexts. Challenges and opportunities for working with old and new sources of data will also be discussed.
