Be You – Growing a Mentally Healthy Generation

ABSTRACT:  Our children and young people spend upwards of 30 hours per week in the company of educators – from early learning services through to primary and secondary school. Providing educators with the tools to foster resilience and social and emotional wellbeing is an investment in everyone’s future. That’s where Be You comes in – Australia’s first integrated national initiative providing busy principals, teachers and early learning professionals with a roadmap, building blocks, professional development and support to foster a mentally healthy learning community. Georgie Harman, Beyond Blue CEO, will showcase Be You – how it works, what it offers now and what Beyond Blue is planning for the coming year. She will outline how Be You’s accredited professional learning and practical tools – backed up by expert support staff around the country – are already empowering schools and services to embed social and emotional learning.
